 The
Patrick Low Profile Drop in Self Leveling Radar Mount is designed
to mount into radar humps through hard tops and other locations
where height is a problem and there is ample room beneath the mounting
surface to accommodate the lower extended portion of the mount.
The unit uses a heavy duty Lenco® electric
actuator to move the top hinged plate to any angle up to 13.5
degrees; allowing the captain to make the radar effective regardless
of the running angle of the boat.
The mount is made of heavy
duty ¼ inch aluminum plate
and 3/16 inch tube and is powder coated with DuPont® sky
white. The total height of the drop in version is approximately
8 inches. Six inches are below the mounting plate and 2 inches
are above.
This version is only available with an automatic.
The automatic switch is programmed at the time of installation
to whatever angle you determine to be level. When the running
angle of the boat changes a row of LED indicators tells the captain
the radar is no longer level. The captain simply touches the
auto button on the key pad and the unit automatically brings
the radar back to the pre-programmed level position. The automatic
switch can also be operated in amanual mode.
